Diving
Monad Shoal, which is where there are encounter between divers and sharks most mornings, is about 45 minutes from Malapascua bangka and the minimum level of certification that they ask for when diving is advanced. It's a plateau between 20 and 27 meters deep, with a 45 meter wall. We first went down to the wall, about 30 feet down, and after a few minutes we went deeper to avoid decompressing. For most of the year, there are thresher sharks here that rise from the depths to get to parasitic cleaning stations on top of the reef. Depending on the time, you can also find small manta rays and devil rays.
