Diving in Roatan

Roatan means Celestial Kingdom, and this place is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras. It is situated between the islands of Utila and Guanaja. It is 45 kilometers long, less than 8 km at its widest point, and is situated 30 miles away from the coast of Honduras. The capital of Roatan is Coxen Hole, which is the main town on the island, and has the largest population. There are also some important French towns here, such as West End, West Bay, Punta Gorda and Oak Ridge. The Bay Islands are a popular destination for tourists who want to take part in various types of sea-related activities, most often diving.
