District File of Viana do Castelo

The District Archive of Viana is in the central Manuel Espregueira Street, in a beautiful building with a granite facade that sports a gorgeous coat of arms. Inside you can see all kinds of old documents about the history of the city and its heritage. It has reading room, reprographic service, document scanning, etc. Admission is free and it's open Monday-Friday 9:00-12:30 and 14:00 to 17:30. It's managed by the Ministry of Culture.
