4 reviews of Independence Day Parades

A must see

The parade on 7 September, in the city of Brasilia is located on the Via N1 East, where you can see the entrance to the ministries, and it's free. It starts at 9 am and ends around noon, although it's a good idea to get there between 7 and 8, to ensure a good place in the stands. Before the parade starts, Brazilian flags are distributed throughout the crowds. You can see the navy, army, air force, and representatives of the different states. All Brazilians should see this once in their lifetime; they expect about 30,000 people each year. Take a bottle of water and a sandwich, as it's difficult to try to get out of the stands.
