De Young Museum

At the heart of Golden Gate Park, right in front of the science museum, this place is a must-visit and simply has to be included on your holiday itinerary. The museum (Fine Arts) is the oldest in the area, and was once rebuilt after an earthquake. It has a wide collection of West Coast painters, and remember that it's free to enter on the first Thursday of every month, when the price of the temporary exhibitions is also halved. Try to visit one of these temporary exhibitions, as they really are amazing. When I visited the city the works of Jean-Paul Gaultier were on display. With incredible lights
