De Rotterdam is a modern building next to the Maas River that bears the name of one of the ships which brought European immigrants to the USA. It was designed by Rem Koolhaas and OMA, one of the greatest architects on the international scene. With the addition of this building, the traditional face of the Dutch port city has been totally transformed. It has three connected towers totaling 160,000 m² spread over offices, dozens of apartments, hotel, conference rooms, restaurants, shops and a gym. It has also been recognized for its energy efficiency and sustainability.
