A veritable amusement park in the center of Sydney, Darling Harbour extends around the Bay of Cockle and is home to many of the major attractions in Sydney. Originally, the port area was in decline, but Darling Harbour was the subject of an ambitious urban renewal project which was completed in 1988. With its bustling cafes, restaurants with stunning views, shops, walks, and green spaces, you will need a full day to explore it all!
Darling Harbour is a fairly busy area of Sydney where you'll find a wide variety of attractions, bars, restaurants, shops, parks, hotels, and a tourist information point, among others. I particularly recommend the Imax 3D Cinema, the Maritime Museum and the Sydney Aquarium. If you want a different experience you can dine in an old boat next to the bridge in front of the bay, or you can take a boat trip to see some beautiful views of the city. You'll also find the monorail station in this area.
One of my favorite places in Sydney. Good for take a walk, there are a lot of restaurants and things to do and see. The view is amazing in the day or night.
