A fascinating site

The characteristic flavor of Plougastel is their famous strawberries. They grow in this beautiful corner of the Bay of Brest, next to the magnificent Calvary chapels and Daoulas Abbey. This former monastery had its glory during the ages of the Order of St. Augustine. Today, this parish church still retains all the charm of the High Middle Ages and a twelfth-century Roman clergy classified it as a historical monument.

Excellent
It is an ancient Romanesque monastery of the twelfth century, which makes its uniqueness in Britain. The fountain and the chapel date from the sixteenth and eighteenth century convent home ... a nice walk in the Breton religious history so! The herb garden is also a legacy of monastic gardens of the Middle Ages. In short it is really disoriented in this abbey. All is calm, the place is relaxing and beautiful. In addition to being a historic site Daoulas became a place of culture with exhibitions, shows and concerts, which give life to this place, which is already very charming.
