Dancers is tops!

1,774m above sea level and with an average temperature of 17 degrees, the resort town of Dancers is located 90 kilometres from the city of Merida. Its main economic activity is agriculture. You can take a tour of Dancers and see various tuber crops, garlic, cabbage, fruit and so on. It also has a variety of shops, hotels, inns and restaurants serving tourists. The name of this beautiful village has its origin in ancient times. It is said that when the Indians who lived in this area had confrontations with the enemy, they would perform religious dances to protect them and help them win the battle.

One of the main attractions is the Plaza Bolivar and the Cathedral Church of the People, which fascinate the visitor. It is also the villagers' meeting place. Among the sights and attractions of Dancers are: India Carú Waterfall Park, El Paramo La Negra, El Valle de Las Tapias, The Mill, The moor, The Carreros, National Park Chaplaincy, The Virgen de Durí, Hot Springs. The photograph is of Carú Park. You can spend a pleasant time in this park in contact with nature. The main attraction is the waterfall. Around this waterfall was erected a beautiful Indian legend captured by the pen of the writer Antonio Pérez-Esclarín. Dancers is tops. I love the waterfall. It's a place of relaxation, peace and harmony.
