Museum with 4 rooms, a house and galleries
Danang Province, is in central Vietnam, and is one of the most visited provinces and also the one with the best connections to visit the rest of the country. An interesting visit, Cham Museum was constructed in the era of French colonization, and brings together a big collection of Cham art, archaeological finds that were in other provinces. The museum opened in the year 1936, and was named "Musée Henri Parmentier" Cham museum and is divided into 4 rooms with its halls, galleries and a house: The rooms are called My Son, Tra Kieu, Dong Duong, Thap Mam, the home Quang Nam, Quang Tri and the galleries, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Quang Binh.
They were discovered with over 300 pieces dating from the 7th century to the 15th century. In the 80s, many of these sculptures were lost, although today there are 294, which give us an idea of the time. Cham architecture originates from the period that goes between the fifth and fifteenth centuries, their representation is very sensual and the image of fertility is one of the most represented. Most figures are made of terracotta, and not well protected,. At the information sites we could find and a short explanation of what they mean, and there are some of them in a small garden entry. Although the smell of mold is suffocating, the place is worth a visit .
