I was struck by the rural character of the village
Dalvares is part of TAROUCA, situated on the mountain of Santa Barbara, on the left bank of the river Varosa. It's a small town, with only a thousand inhabitants who are mainly engaged in agriculture (fruit, corn, potatoes, etc.), and in particular the cultivation of vineyards which produces sparkling wine, typical of this region. I was struck by the rural character of the village. It still retains public laundries which are still used today. It has a sixteenth-century parish church, the Castro de Santa Barbara (primitive settlement of the XIII century villa, where the Chapel of Santa Barbara is)
