Whisky lovers tour
In one of the quintessential whiskey areas, Speyside. This distillery was founded in the late 19th century. After several periods of crisis, with several closures and reopenings, the owners finally decided to close in 1983. Because of its traditional features and well kept state, the government took over the facilities, creating first the museum of whiskey, in truth it's been very well done. The tour starts with a video and then they carefully explain the process of creating whiskey (fire water), which attracted my attention as I've seen in other distilleries machines in much worse condition. The tour is very entertaining and informative, including the shop and the bar where after finishing the tour you are offered a tasting of whiskeys and liqueurs produced in the area.
