Madan Mahal

The local name of the place is Dal Madan, in some guidebooks it is also known as Madan Mahal. It is a building built nearly a thousand years ago, a kind of strategic military post, you might like it or not, now it is a kind of village dedicated solely to supply the needs of visitors. Its usefulness is now like one of our beaches. Everyone who can, comes to one of the few places in the region where you can swim. This military enclave is on the banks of the Narmada River, here almost 500m wide. The river is not deep and doesn't have a strong current, it forms tiny islands that serve as "private little beaches" where you can spend a great evening.
