Daimalos
Daimalos is a small town of less than 100 inhabitants in the municipality of Arenas. The origin of its name, probably corresponded to the word Daimuz, which means farmhouse in Arabic. After the expulsion of the Moors in the Battle of Frigiliana in the year 1569, the small town was almost deserted, as the Old Christians arrived from other parts of the kingdom. In the nineteenth century, it was said that Daimalos had about 61 houses, 1 school (sparsely attended) and 1 fountain. Today, little has changed in the town, almost the same houses and the church are still representative of this pretty whitewashed
