Daian-ji
The Daian-ji is an ancient temple south of the city of Nara, in which one of their symbols is the sake, where there are many celebrations and rituals that take place. According to tradition of the Daian-ji (which is over 1000 years old), you have to drink a very specific liquor served in bamboo to stay healthy and to keep diseases far away. Every so often there are festivals where people come from all over the country to be cleansed with incense and sake. Going to these events is very interesting and they are full of symbolism, as you can see in the photos.
