Pena Palace Park

Normally when you get to Sintra you take one of the buses that go up to the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle. But I got the bright idea to convince the group to walk, of course, I didn't know the exact path and nothing was further from my intention to almost kill us (anyone can do the exercise, but my group was not very motivated). Yes, the effort was worth it to us all because the trip was spectacular. For hikers, I really recommend walking up, the palace is beautiful and the castle too, but really the most impressive thing was the vegetation of Sintra.

Not really a good experience with this palace. First of all after a half hour walk to the entrance thru a very busy parc. We came to the tickets entrance. It was fully booked for the rest of the week. So we bought tickets for the next week on Wednesday at least that’s what the sign said. We paid 98,00 euro for 5 persons (one child of 14 years). Week later early in de morning the day we had to go to Sintra we noticed that the tickets were for the day before. So we called and they couldn’t help I must send an email. There was a little bit hurry because I only had two full days left before I fly at home because of ending my vacation. Later that day i got an email they couldn’t do nothing about it not change for an other day or get my money back. They can see by my number and code that the tickets are unused.
