Cusubamba

Cusumbamba est un petit village perdu sur les plateaux andins dans la région de La Tacunga. Entouré de champs, de collines et de moyenne montagne, c´est un bonne endroit a choisir comme point de départ pour une rando dans la région. Si on tient compte de l´altitude, tout effort inutile coute beaucoup d´énergie, donc si on peut vider son sac au maximum et n´emporter que le stricte minimum, ce sera beaucoup plus pratique. Cependant, cela impose de faire une boucle et non un aller simple, on peut y perdre du temps. Les habitants sont sympathiques, et les infrastructures hôtelières limitées, j´ai campé dans un champs mais on peut aussi demander a dormir chez l´habitant. On laisse un peu d´argent, pas non plus le prix d´un hôtel, ou alors on fait les courses dans la petite coopérative agricole, en compagnie de notre hôte qui nous indique ses besoins. En partant, je rencontre la petite Jessica, les joues pleines de terre et le foulard sur la tête, elle m'observe timidement sur le pas de sa porte. Quand je lui demande si elle travaille au champ, elle bombe le torse et me répond fièrement "non, j'étudie !". Beaucoup dans le village n'ont pas sa chance, même si elle aide aussi aux travaux agricoles dès qu'elle sort de l'école.

Cusumbamba is a small village lost in the Andes in the region of La Tacunga. Surrounded by fields, hills and mountain, this is a good place to choose as a starting point for a hike in the area.
