Walk the Boardwalk Around the Lake!
Located near the city of Milton, Crawford Lake is one of six Conservation Halton Parks. Crawford Lake is a rare meromictic lake with a wooden boardwalk that wraps around the perimeter of it, making it possible to walk completely around the lake. There are many paths through the forest at this park beyond Crawford Lake, with some of them connecting to the immense Bruce Trail. Throughout the forest hike, you can view turkey vultures, deer, and many other animals. One of the trails, the Escarpment Trail, leads you to a clearing where you can view the beautiful scenery of the valley down below. It is never very crowded here, making Crawford Lake an incredibly peaceful place to walk and enjoy nature.
