Antigua Markets
This market is near the main market and a very close to the old bus station. Nim Po't market has the best assortment of crafts of the city. Under one roof there are dozens of Guatemalan craft stalls: jewellery, handbags, bedspreads, blouses, skirts. Although the quality is lower and the prices are higher than those in Atitlan it is worth visiting for the lively atmosphere and bargains. Po't Nim is another market that I recommend. While still more geared to tourists it has a collection of Guatemalan costumes ordered by region. They have a selection of wooden saints and mannequins and puppets which give you the occasional chill.
You definitely cannot leave Antigua without seeing any of these markets!
