Covered Bazaar

The covered souk Rabat's historic center is at the end of Souika street. It's a fun place with lots of shops, where merchandise is piled up to the ceiling. The souk is covered so that the sun doesn't damage the store's goods during the summer months. There are a few streets in the market and they're generally organized by the shop's specialty, such as slippers, clothing, tailors, spices and nuts, etc. You have to haggle a lot, it's part of the fun. Generally if the guy you Announces 100, offers 30 and will be in 50 or 60. You can get a suit, typical or not, to the extent it is quite cheap compared to Europe.
