Covered Bazaar
The souks in Morocco are a tourist attraction, but for the Moroccans, they are the heart of the commercial life. The covered souk of Meknes is very nice, and much quieter than Marrakech or Fes. You can walk around without being disturbed all the time to buy souvenirs. In Meknes, the covered souk has a half dozen major streets, is less likely to be missed too, and there´s no need to hve a guide because the city is quite small and there is always somewhere that is easy to recognize. In the Souk you will find people selling everything from shoes, suits, spices, nuts and various souvenirs to take home, at a price much lower than in Marrakech.
