Countess of Creixell Monument
This monument is a tribute to Doña Julia Becerra Malvar, known as the Countess of Creixell. She was of Catalan origin but lived for many years in the Shire of Salnés (1892-1974), more specifically in the town of Barrantes, famous for its vineyards. The monument to the Countess (1892-1974) was installed in the center of the town in August 1994, near the recreational area and playground. The vast expanse of vineyards in the town were owned by the Pazo de Barrantes, of the former Galician palace, and has been handed down to their children to continue the family tradition of making great wine.
