A modern building
The Cabildo de La Gomera, is a modern building, not even 20 years old. The most unique thing about it is that its made from a local material known as Tosca, a type of slag, which is lava red coloured. Behind it, on a terrace, there are four sculptures of Pedro Zamorano, from Palencia, but living here since 1982 and working the stone from the island, which is amazing. The one that looks like an old man is in the lobby of the town hall. The small ones are in the courtyard of the Parador Hotel, they are tiny volcanic bombs. Its worth seeing the work of this man.
