Emporda coast
The Empordà coast is part of the Costa Brava and is comprised mostly of cliffs and small beaches that run north along the French border and Cape Creus to the Montgrí heights, which are located opposite the Medes Islands. The Bay of Roses has long sandy beaches and extends from the Cap de Creus, where you can find the marshes of the Natural Park and the dunes of San Pedro Pescador. South of Montgrí heights is the mouth of the Ter and then an extensive amount of beaches, from Pals to Cape Begur, where the coast rises again to form sea cliffs and coves.
