Special place with balconies dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries

I present a special place that dates back to the Middle Ages and was used for bullfights in the "Run of the Bulls". The setting is medieval because it is at the foot of the Castle. The plaza is rectangular and is made up of sides with 40 houses made of stone and mud. There are 2 or 3 floors and some have stone on the ground floor. But maybe what stands out most are the balconies dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries with wood trim and on which they rest to this day called "Balcony Easements", ie to see the show in front and with the best views. There are 2 entrances to access the Plaza del Coso, down the hall you see in the picture and the main street crowned with noble houses.

Medieval Taurino Flavor

Located in the old town of Penafiel is where you'll find this public square, where people still live. In August and during the festival of La Asuncion and San Roque, they make their windows and balconies into the makeshift lines of one bullring, with a little bit of medieval flavor, to celebrate under the watchful eye of the castle. This is a must-visit spot where you'll sink in to the roots in the deep-seeded traditions of this beautiful town.
