Dedicated entirely to Venice
This museum is dedicated entirely to Venice and its political and military history. Through the quarterfinals of the Napoleonic Wing and Procuratie there's a tour of sculpture, navigation, festivals, clothing and past professions - really a review of Venice's history. It's in the famous Piazza San Marco, in front of the Basilica of San Marcos. The origin of this museum is the private collection of Teodoro Correr that was donated to the city in 1830 and that has been subsequently extended.
