Corallo Restaurant
On our first day in town, and already tired from the heat, we started looking for a place to eat. After checking out a few restaurants, we found Corallo, and a local man encouraged us to go in, claiming they served a good meal. Since he was a local, we trusted him. Surprisingly though, it was a Chinese restaurant. I thought it was going to be a typical restaurant. They had a set menu for € 15 to choose between various dishes. For an appetizer, it offered various kinds of dough cooked in different ways, and as an entree, meat, or fish with vegetables, or a salad. Also included were a drink, bread, and dessert or coffee.
The second dish was good, but not out of the ordinary. The pasta, however, was scrumptious. My ravioli was giant and the lasagna was huge. There must have been about 10 layers or so, and it was delicious. Even though we ordered the lunch menu, they kept bringing mussel dishes and other delicious things. As we were leaving the restaurant, we realized that there was a sign indicating that they specialized in typical Sardinian food, especially in seafood. I guess that's what the man was referring to. But if you want to try Sardinian food, you have to go here.
