A large baseball stadium
Coors Field is the name of the baseball field in Denver, Colorado. Built in 1995 for the Colorado Rockies, it is sponsored by Coors beer, a local specialty produced in the nearby town of Golden. Baseball games are a real social event in the US, worth seeing even if, like me, you're not passionate about sports. The atmosphere is a far cry from the hysteria of a European football stadium, as people come here to eat and chat. Sometimes we were left wondering if anyone was actually watching the game, but the huge cheers after each home run left us in no doubt!
