Convent of the Capuchos

Convent Two Capuchin

The Capuchin Convent is situated a few kilometers from Sintra in the middle of a mountain. To visit it you have to buy the ticket at the entrance or buy 1 for 2 days that lets you see more of the attractions close by. Its main charm lies in its peace, especially if you visit when there aren´t too many people. It is worth visiting.

The Capuchin monastery is a magical place, lost in the woods surrounding Sintra is a place to find peace is elusive. Surrounded by a green forest you can imagine the monks practicing meditation and retreat in an ideal environment for it. If you are lucky also catching a little foggy as happened to us is like being in a fairy tale

Very curious

This convent is not a particularly nice place but very funny at the same time something fun if you visit with someone that measures 1.75 m or more, as in the case of my girlfriend who laughed at me because I had to stoop to pass for almost all sites. So what this is a site that if you've seen everything yet I was struck and you have time to spare, not bad for fun, plus it will take you only an hour or less in view.

A remote and silent place

Un lugar alejado y silencioso

Excellent
A remote and silent place, surrounded by nature, all the doors of this convent are made of cork, walk through all its corners, knowing the life that these monks had, is priceless

Today we went and the truth is that we did not like

Today we went and the truth is that we did not like. Something far from Sintra with a rather expensive ticket. The site in a deplorable condition, no light inside (we had to use the mobile light repeatedly) without any kind of information board, without personnel abroad. He totally discouraged.

Capuchin Convent in Sintra
