Convent Square

Es la Plaza más importante de Melide, y también donde se cruzan el Camino de Ovedo con el Francés en el Camino de Santiago. En esta plaza está el Museo da terra ( antiguo hospital de peregrinos) La Obra Pía de Santo Antón, del siglo XVII, y la Casa del Ayuntamiento, antiguo palacio de la misma etapa. Preside la plaza el Convento del Sancti Spiritus, de entre los siglos XIV y XVIII, en el que nos encontraremos un altar mayor barroco, restos románicos, sarcófagos góticos, pinturas murales del siglo XVI, y un niño Jesús de marfil. El Convento Sancti Spiritus es uno de los tesoros del patrimonio melidense, y donde oímos Misa, la cual fué muy emotiva, ya que los canticos y rezos estuvieron acompañados del sonido de las gaitas
