Confitería Manuel
This place is a must see in La Baule. Situated at the entrance of General de Gaulle Avenue, going toward the path, is a family business that has been around for over 50 years, to the delight of tourists and locals. I especially like the Chantilly caramels (waffles with whipped salted butter, caramel, candied strawberries) or raspberry niniches or poppy and nougat ice cream. I must say this is always the first place I visit in La Baule. The place is very intimate, with great service. If you're lucky, you may even see the machines that make the sweets!
