A military tribute
In 1940, Winston Churchill decided to create an elite force capable of reaching behind enemy lines: the commandos were born. Thereafter, they placed their training center in the Scottish Highlands, and played an essential role in the Allied victory. This monument was inaugurated by the Queen Mother in 1952, and pays tribute to these brave men.
