Columbus Lighthouse

Realizado por el Presidente Balaguer, donde es una cruz de medio tiempo invertida y ascendente en su exterior, incrustados grandes y miles de focos de luz, que en la época de los 70 y 80, cuando los encendía, se dibujaba una gran cruz en el Cielo. Era perfectamente visible para los satélites mundiales, para los aviones y para los sitios altos y observatorios de países del Caribe, y era tal su consumo que dejaba parte de la ciudad de Santo Domingo sin luz mientras permanecía encendido, cosa que no se ha hecho salvo en contadas ocasiones. Dentro del monumento hay una serie de salas dedicadas a mostrar la grandeza del Descubrimiento con miles de objetos de la época entre lo que se encuentra, según dicen, la propia espada de Cristóbal Colón, así como su armadura y trajes.
