Good Traditional Products
Since the Gema Esmeralda hotel's restaurant, where we stayed, was horrible, we decided to go out one night for dinner and we ended up in Coeur de Filet, recommended by a local person.
This restaurant, whose name means "heart of sirloin" is located in the Fañabé shopping mall, in front of the beach with the same name. It is quite big, two floors and modern decoration, but the best thing is to dine in the open air terrace.
They have a wide menu, with traditional products, elaborated with a certain "signature" touch and the specialties are the meats, specifically the sirloin, although we felt like eating fish. We ordered a plate of fried mushrooms to share and then two plates of fish. Everything was good, the fish was fresh and well prepared. They brought the plates in a cart, that they placed in front of our table and from there they served us.
The truth is that the place is quite posh. The waiters were young and cool and we ended up talking to them, were were the only Spanish girls in the place, and they were Basque.
The servings were quite big so we didn't order dessert. The dinner, including wine and water, was 70 Euros, expensive but worth it.
