A touch of class
In one of the most modern areas of Glasgow, next to the Convention Centre (SECC) is the most modern bridge of the city, forming a cross bow from curb to curb. The bridge, which opened in September 2006, was part of the council's plans to modernize the area near the River Clyde, that flows through the old industrial area of Glasgow, and replaces the old Kingston Bridge. It definitely brings a touch of class to an area that will be in a few years of the busiest in the city, but like almost everything in Glasgow, the name of the bridge is unusual, as though its official name is Clyde Arc, locally it is called Squinty Bridge.
