Club Quarters Hotel, Gracechurch hotel

I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Accustomed to seedy hotels at luxury prices in central London, we found a modern, comfortable, spacious, clean room (with a large lcd tv, air conditioning / heating) at a price that does not mean you have to pawn a kidney. In addition, the area is great: you are 5 minutes from Monument tube station, just before the great column that commemorates the fire that devastated the City in the seventeenth century. There are plenty of amenities nearby: very nice restaurants (one Japanese), Leaden Hall Market with gift shops and pubs (all closed for Easter), a M & S, Boots for medicine and perfume and Santander bank.
