Clearwater Beach

You know those places tha surprise you? You already have an idea in your mind of what they'll be like but when you get there, they are so different from what you'd imagined? Clearwater Bay is one of those places. Close to Tampa and the Busch Gardens park, the star of Clearwater Bay is not the beach but the sea. Bordered on one side by the Gulf of Mexico and the on the other by Tampa Bay, the water here is calm, cool and clear, like the Caribbean. Located about an hour away (connectd by massive American highways) from the city of Tampa, Clearwater Beach is one of the best known towns in this part of Florida, and one of the most enjoyable too. Its beaches aren't of the same standard as those of Miami, but its long stretch of warm sand, with rows of parasols, its palm tree-lined promenades, and its many restaurants all make it worth a visit.
