History of the well
The well of the town was built from 1623 to 1640. It was excavated by two Turkish prisoners, whom had been promised freedom once the well worked. Excited by the idea, they had no idea what it might take to finish such a feat, since the town was on a mountain. Once the work finished, the well was 146 meters deep, and was used until 1850, because of a broken wheel that helped raise the water, was dropped.
