Cisternone

Si tratta di uno degli edifici più conosciuti della città di LIvorno. Il Cisterone è un edificio la cui costruzione risale alla metà del 1800. Ancora oggi svolge la sua funzione di cisterna ed in alcune occasioni particolari, come le giornate del FAI è possibile visitarne l'interno che ha un aspetto davvero molto suggestivo. Per chi ama la fotografia questi giorni sono da tenere presenti, perché non capita spesso di poter accedere ad una cisterna dove è ancora presente l'acqua. Purtroppo l'edificio si trova situato su di una strada dove c'è sempre molto traffico e non si può godere a pieno della vista dell'intero edificio, creato da Pasquale Poccianti. Una cosa davvero curiosa legata a questo edificio: compare nel film "I sequestrati di Altona" di Vittorio De Sica per rappresentare un teatro tedesco.
