Interesting museum
The State Archaeological Museum can be found on the bottom floor and basement of City Hall. Its objective is to preserve precious prehistoric (Palaeolithic, Neolithic and Iron Age) and the Hellenistic-Roman excavations in the area. The museum has different collections from neo-Paleolithic and Neolithic eras. Recently (1997) a new campus was opened with new discoveries, including the Hellenistic-Roman section.
