Ecclesiastical location
Another ecclesiastical location in the center of Morpeth. With a very curious entrance, it seems to be part of an ancient cloister, which has remained as one of its facades and has been squeezed between modern buildings. St. James' Church is one of the best examples of Neo-Norman architecture (its square tower is evidence of that alone) with subsequent victorian renovations. The exteriors are beautiful, right from the entrance until we reached the main building. The church is surrounded by trees and gardens on all sides, indicating that long ago it was a rural and secluded location, but unfortuantely not anymore, as was heart of the city.
