Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen

La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen esta en la entrada norte del pueblo, construcción que data del siglo XVI. Es una construcción de piedra y barro que ha sufrido algunas modificaciones pero que aún hoy conserva el aire primitivo que le otorgaron sus fundadores, los hermanos del cercano convento carmelita de San José en las Batuecas, en 1604. En su interior, se encuentra una bella escultura del Ecce Homo, que fue donada por las carmelitas en tiempos de la desamortización de Mendizabal para evitar perderla.
The Church of Our Lady of Carmen is at the northern entrance of the town, building dating from the XVI century. It is a building of stone and clay that has undergone some changes but still retains the primitive air was awarded its founders, the brothers of the nearby Carmelite convent of St. Joseph in the Batuecas, in 1604. Inside, there is a beautiful sculpture Ecce Homo, which was donated by the Carmelites in time of the confiscation of Mendizabal to avoid losing.
