Misericordia Church (Igreja da...
Misericordia Church (Igreja da Misericordia) was built in the sixteenth century on the model of the eponymous church in Porto. The building consists of two bodies: The Church and the office of the Holy House of Mercy. Its exterior aesthetics don't say much, but it has a remarkable Manueline window, a small belfry and a stonework roof. It was closed so we couldn't see inside, but it has coated tiles and a coffered ceiling. Opposite the church there's a cross with rich ornamentation.
