A Convent turned rural hotel
The church and Convent of St. Antonio dos Capuchos is located on the avenue that leads to the hot springs of Monçao and next to the Miño River. When we wanted to visit the church was closed, so the photos I took are just of the outside of it. Throughout its history, the Convent of Santo António Capuchin has been an object of adaptations and reconstructions. The building has been remodeled and the roomy sixteenth century cloister itself predates the Church of the Capuchin (1769).
