Para llegar hasta aquí hay que ir hacia ...
Para llegar hasta aquí hay que ir hacia Navantia y pasar de largo dejando el puerto a la izquierda.
Ha sido pintado recientemente y la zona próxima también ha sido reformada.
Desde aquí vemos todo el puerto, la zona militar y el mar abierto.
Muy próximo a este faro, existe un restaurante (el Chalet) que, a mi gusto, es uno de los lugares donde sirven el caldero más rico se Cartagena.

De estilo neoclásico, la batería de Navidad tenía como objetivo defender el acceso a la bocana del puerto de Cartagena, cruzando su fuego con la batería de Trincabotijas.
La batería de Navidad sustituyó a la torre y el fuerte de Navidad del siglo XVI. En la segunda mitad del siglo XIX sobre la explanada de dicha batería se construye el actual fuerte.

El Faro Navidad da la bienvenida a Cartagena. Se puede llegar hasta el faro cogiendo la carretera de la Algameca justo al lado del puente que separa la Calle del Rey con el Barrio de la Concepción. Desde el faro hay unas vistas muy bonitas del puerto y la bahía de Cartagena. Merece la pena visitarlo.
Christmas Lighthouse welcomes Cartagena. You can reach the lighthouse taking the road right next Algameca bridge separating King Street in Barrio de la Concepción. From the lighthouse there is a nice view of the harbor and the bay of Cartagena. Well worth the visit.

Una tarde de otoño, con viento, lluvia ...
Una tarde de otoño, con viento, lluvia y temperatura demasiado baja pero para mi fue el descubrimiento del Faro de Navidad con alguien tan especial que nada podrá borrar esas imágenes. El mar gris y movido, unos pescadores que me explicaron sus técnicas de pesca allí. Gente de mar, entrañable, abierta y franca.
Una sorpresa aquel paisaje, aquel rincón de una Cartagena que siempre estará en mi corazón.

One autumn evening, with wind, rain and cold temperature but for me was the discovery of Lighthouse Christmas with someone so special that nothing can erase those images. The gray sea and moved, fishermen explained their técinas me fishing there. Seafarers, endearing, open and frank. A surprise that landscape, that corner of Cartagena will always be in my heart.
