Chianti Cafe

Chianti is a Calgary classic - consistently good Italian food in a family-friendly atmosphere. Think fresh salads, scrumptious appetizers and hearty pastas.

There are a few locations in Calgary, but I always go to the one in the far south - on Macleod Trail. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is casual enough for a quick lunch or a nice dinner. They even have a house wine - a chianti obviously - that is exclusive to the restaurant itself.

On Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays they do $8.99 pasta specials. My personal favorite is the Tortellini Alla Panna.

Love my fav dish pollo Aristotle in a Demi glaze sauce with Alfredo (chicken with pasta that melts in your mouth) and the atmosphere is warm, cozy relaxing the prices very reasonable, perfect date place, friends, pasta specials.

Only in Calgary and I look forward to coming there every time I’m back! Calgary’s best hidden secret and I’m sharing because it’s just that good reasonable and nice I have to!

Dont tell too many though as I still want to get a seat when I want one too! Best deal for the buck and then some class added, then the food it’s the best dish I’ve ever had!
