A beautiful view
The main attraction of Hyderabad, true to the city's Arabic nature, is the Charminar, which stands 56m high in the middle of the noisy market. Charminar literally means "four minarets". The four-column structure is placed at the four cardinal points, and was used as a mosque. You can climb to the top, and enjoy a beautiful view of the city for 100 rupees. The Charminar was built by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah to celebrate the end of an epidemic caused by a lack of water in 1591.
