Chapultepec Castle

Desde su ubicación en lo alto del Cerro de Chapultepec, en el bosque de Chapultepec, el Castillo es el eterno testigo de la historia de México, viendo pasar entre sus muros y jardines, ejércitos, presidentes y emperadores que vivieron en él. Actualmente es el Museo Nacional de Historia. Tiene importantes piezas y obras de arte que son representativas de la historia Méxicana. Además, desde sus balcones hay una hermosa vista del bosque de Chapultepec y de toda la ciudad. El museo abre sus puertas de martes a domingo y es posible llegar con el metro (subte)- estación Chapultepec.

A lo largo de la historia este recinto a tenido pultiples cambios tanto arquitectonicos como funsionales y decoraivos. Algunos presidente y personajes importantes en la política de México vivieron en este lugar, que se fue enriqueciendo de obras de arte y piezas de finos diseños. El nombre de Chapultepec procede del idioma nahuatl chapul(in)-saltamontes- y tepe (tl)- cerro o montaña-: En el cerro del chapilin. Ese seria su significado:). Este cerro tiene una formación geológica muy antigua, de origen volcánico, que sirvió de asentamiento a numerosos pueblos desde los teotihuacanos hasta los mexicas. Fue durante el reinado de Moctezuma I cuando se mandó construir el acueducto para conducir el agua desde Chapultepec hasta México-Tenochtitlan. El responsable de la gigantesca obra hidráulica fue Nezahualcóyotl, señor de Texcoco, quien al no cobrar por su trabajo obtuvo como premio el permiso de habitar en Chapultepec. Las crónicas nos informan que a él se debieron la siembra y el cuidado de los más viejos ahuehuetes (es el árbol nacional se distinguen por lo grande de su diámetro que puede alcanzar un poco mas de 14 metros de ancho, con unos 30 metros de altura. Son también muy longevos de asta 2000 años. Es sorprendente pero aun encuentras esta especie dentro del bosque y en otras partes del país. Tambien, durante el periodo virreinal, Chapultepec fue apreciado como un lugar de descanso y esparcimiento, para lo cual se construyó, en la base del cerro, sobre los cimientos de lo que fuera residencia de Moctezuma II, un palacio que dio albergue a numerosos virreyes y visitantes distinguidos durante más de dos siglos. Realmente es un lugar lleno de historia, que no deja de sorprenderte, es uno de mis rincones favoritos de la ciudad de México; para poder llegar puedes hacerlo de dos maneras, el primero a través de un pequeño trenesito que te sube asta el cerro su costo es de $15 pesos aunque si hay una cola de gente algo grande y lo encuentras justo al inicio del recorrido, al entrar al bosque de Chapultepec hay buena señaletica para encontrar la entrada para subir al cerro, así que no hay mucho pierde, además de que el castillo se aprecia desde varios puntos del bosque, pero si lo tuyo es la caminata, también puedes subir el cerrito caminando son aprox 15 min aunque si esta algo inclinado pero no es difícil de caminar, por otra parte el costo del boleto para entrar es de $51 pesos mexicanos y los días lunes esta cerrado, de ahí Martes a domingo de 9 a 17 horas. El Museo te ofrece una alternativa para que realices tu recorrido con audioguías por las salas de Historia. El módulo se encuentra ubicado en la entrada principal del MuseoCosto: 65 pesos mexicanos, esto te facilitara un poco mas el conocer la historia del lugar. Si es su caso que viene de mochila y con un presupuesto algo limitado, una manera maravillosa de moverse en la ciudad es a travez del METRO http://www.Minube.Com/rincon/el-metro-de-la-cd-de-mexico-a237361 que en la línea rosa encontraras la estación que te deja en Chapultepec, así que puedes llegar desde terminales de autobuses o aeropuerto a travez del metro, sigue mi recomendacion del rincón y tendras un mapa de como funsiona el metro,es muy económico y te lleva a buenos puntos de la ciudad. El castillo de chapultepec es increíble desde que entras y vez todo lo que hay allí te transportas a un mundo mágico hay tantas cosas que ver que el tiempo se te va de volada y la verdad no alcanza para ver como la gente vivía en otros tiempos es increíble ver la forma como se transportaban en esos carruajes o los vestidos que usaban las mujeres de esa época a mi me gusto aunque no me gusta caminar mucho me diverti mucho con mis hijos y así que les recomiendo que lo visiten es barato y aprendes cosas nuevas.

La terraza del castillo de Chapultepec, un buen lugar para recostarse en una banca y disfrutar del clima después de haber hecho el recorrido por las salas del castillo, tendrán suerte como yo si les toca un ratito de cielo nublado para refrescarse un poco... Totalmente recomendable subir caminando y bajar de la misma manera... Hay un cochecito que te lleva pero si traen zapatos cómodos se disfruta mucho el recorrido!

Una obra de arte que vale la pena detenerse a ver. Parece algo obvio pero al estar en un pasillo que conecta dos secciones del museo, parece que no son del todo apreciados.
