Small chapel goes unnoticed
This small chapel goes unnoticed as it's semi hidden among terraces and parasols of Ribeira Square, in the lower part of the city, I noticed it while sitting for a drink on the terrace in front of it. It's right across the pier from where cruises on the Douro depart. Aesthetically it's not much, was built in the seventeenth century and remodeled in the nineteenth (after the Portuguese civil war). It has an eighteenth century altarpiece, attributed to Joao da Costa, and the image of Our Lady of the Ó, thus the name of the chapel.
