German beer paradise!
Kloster is a German-style bar and restaurant located on Calle Cardinal Cisneros, a street which is rapidly becoming the go-to spot for good beer in downtown Madrid. When you enter Kloster, it feels like you’re entering a home (which, in my opinion at least, is exactly how these types of places should feel). The light is low, there’s good music playing, groups of friend laughing in each corner, and friendly easy-going bartenders who’re constantly refilling your bar snacks. On tap, they have Erdinger, a classic German wheat beer; Grevensteiner, a lesser-known unfiltered German beer that I couldn’t stop drinking, and a few other top German names like Vetins. If you want my recommendation, get yourself a pint of Grevenstenier. It’s an unfiltered blonde beer that is sweet up front with a slight bitter kick at the end. Delicious!
